The good thing about IRScustoms and central excise training is the availability of various and diverse attachments. We have attachments ranging from wildlife attachment, parliament attachment and others to police and army attachments.
These days 63rd batch of irs c and ce of which i am a part is undergoing its police training in Haryana police academy, madhuban Karnal.
This is a 4 week program which comprises activities like parade drill, weapon training and other small modules like exposure to crime investigation through dna profiling, forensic techniques, criminal psychology, cyber crime, horse riding etc.
in weapon training we are being given theoretical and practical exposure to weapons like ak47, insas family weapons, 9 mm pistol, 9mm carbine. for firing purpose we were sent to ITBP firing range in chhandigarh.
